It is a congenital deformity characterized by equinus & Varus positioning of the foot which becomes apparent at birth.

এটি একটি জন্মগত বিকৃতি যা ইকুইনাস এবং পায়ের ভেরাস অবস্থান দ্বারা চিহ্নিত যা জন্মের সময় স্পষ্ট হয়।

Most common in Boys than in Girls

মেয়েদের তুলনায় ছেলেদের মধ্যে সবচেয়ে বেশি দেখা যায়

Incidence: 1: 1000 live birth

50% Bilateral ( ৫০ ভাগ ক্ষেত্রে ২ পায়ে হয় )

Cause/ কেন হয় ঃ 

• Idiopathic
• Increase Intra-uterine pressure
• Genetic
• Primary soft tissue defect with secondary bony changes.

          Problems: /অসুবিধাঃ

• Deformity that causes the patient to walk on ankle
• Small heel & Short tendo-achillis
• Fore foot: Adduction & Supination.
• Hind Foot: Equinus (Planter flexion) & Varus (inward twisting)

Prognosis/আরোগ্য সম্ভাবনাঃ Good 

Treatment/ চিকিৎসাঃ At birth Passive stretching done by mother after each breast feed.

Serial Plaster can be tried till 6 month of age. After correction: Corrective shoe/splints for 1 to 2 years.

In case of relapse, rigid club foot, inadequate response to serial plster Surgical treatment needed.

জন্মের সময় প্রতিটি স্তন ফিডের পরে মায়ের দ্বারা নিষ্ক্রিয় স্ট্রেচিং।

সিরিয়াল প্লাস্টার ৬ মাস বয়স পর্যন্ত চেষ্টা করা যেতে পারে। সংশোধনের পরে: ১ থেকে ২ বছরের জন্য সংশোধনকারী জুতো / স্প্লিন্ট ব্যাবহার।

পুনরায় সংক্রমণ, শক্ত ক্লাব ফুট, সিরিয়াল প্লাস্টার অপ্রতুল সাড়ার ক্ষেত্রে সার্জারি প্রয়োজন।
